LeGardes was a well known and respected brand in the Mackay region, and the purchase added two fixed concrete plants, one mobile concrete plant, a sand extraction facility and a cement importing warehouse to the business. This purchase saw the business expand, with the two fixed concrete plants in Mackay and Moranbah servicing the thriving coal mining boom in the Bowen Basin.
By 2007, Neil Mansell Concrete had added a concrete batching plant to their operations in Bowen, and has since purchased plants in Tin Can Bay, Gympie, Bundaberg and Toowoomba. It is anticipated that a new business will be established in the Maroochydore area in the near future.
With Neil Mansell Concrete becoming incorporated in 2007, it became a dedicated entity for all of the fixed concrete batching plants and a number of portable or mobile concrete plants throughout Queensland. Neil Mansell Concrete operates a number of mobile concrete plants that are deployed on projects throughout the state that require supply and delivery of ready-mixed concrete from remote sites that can’t be serviced by stationary town based plants.
With a full time Environmental, Health and Safety Officer and a technical manager responsible for quality assurance, Neil Mansell Concrete is committed to managing all aspects of health and safety in all areas of its operations.
