MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS & CERTIFICATIONS

Operations are conducted with an electronic Transport Management System called Freight 2020 which consists of specialized modules that are customisable to meet company and customer requirements.

The Transport Management component allow for activities to a recorded, managed and administered centrally. Tasks are allocated electronically and tracked end to end. Task specific documentation can be captured and recorded electronically on mobile devices.

Warehouse Management component is available to track product receipt and movement out of storage locations, order movement facilitate stock takes, disposals and more. Ordered movement can be escalated to transport bookings.

The system includes in online customer portal that allows for customer representatives to;

• book product movements from storage locations
• view stock on hand quantities
• book transport requests
• generate packing labels and manual consignment notes
• view progress of bookings in real time
• view/download Proof of Pickups (POP) and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents; and
• view/download invoices & statements in real time

Alternatively options are available to enable direct communication of data between these modules and customer systems.

In addition to the transport management system above, NMT operates from numerous management systems that are certified to industry and global standards.

MANAGEMENT / EXPERTISE

Our management team is seasoned transport industry professionals with many years of experience in their respective roles and fields.

Each company depot is managed by a depot supervisor who is responsible for coordinating activities in their area and ensuring they are conducted in a safe and compliant manner in line with company management systems.

Front-line supervisors are backed by our Operation Management Team who are tasked with ensuring that adequate resources are available and in each operating area and work with front-line supervisors to find solutions for our customers.

NMT also has a Fleet Manager tasked with monitoring vehicular activity and performance and is responsible for ensuring service schedules and operability is maintained at a global level.

HSE SUPPORT

At a global level all personnel are supported by our team of HSE qualified professional who routinely conduct site visits, audits, inspections, testing, coordinate medicals, competency verifications and work with front line managers to ensure company management systems and policies are adhered to in company activities

Two members of the team are also qualified driver trainers who routinely verifying the competency all of our drivers on the various aspects of their position and provide subsequent mentoring, training and advice to ensure drivers are consistently performing their duties in the required manner.

RESOURCES / CAPABILTY

We are a large group of companies and employ over 700 personnel and operate a diverse range of registered transport equipment.

Equipment has been purchased or fitted out to meet customer requirements for operating capacity, safety and reliability.

All company vehicles are fitted with In-Vehicle Monitoring Units which enable live tracking and performance monitoring of activities over mobile and satellite networks. NMT management is able to monitor driver performance and vehicle position / progress via an online system called Geotab / Fleet Complete. System is compliant with Safer Together requirements / reporting standards.

With the size of our fleet we are able to situate equipment in key operating areas and customize services to ensure our customer requirements are consistently met with levels of redundancy available with surplus units available in each area in the event of breakdown.

In addition local maintenance facilities, crews and mobile response units are available at each site to ensure the ongoing operability and road-worthiness of vehicles.
